Hormones Affect Our Skin

Many skin conditions we try to combat through the use of beauty products are in fact a cause of inner changes produced by our hormones. One of the most important female hormones that affect our skin is estrogen, the hormone that basicaly gives us the characteristics of being a woman.

Estrogen is the main cause in skin aging, this is precicely why when a woman finds that menopause has occurred, she starts feeling the results of it not only inside her body and mind, but also on her facial tissue. At menopause the production of estrogen is significantly reduced, so it triggers changes such as dry skin, lack of elasticity, a slitter pale face color when estrogen levels are very low.

There is another hormone that causes the dryness of our skin, even before major changes such as menopause. It's called thyroxin and it's being produced constantly by our tirode gland. Dry skin is usually treated with the help of beauty products, but the cause lies within our body and a proper treatment can eradicate it form its roots.

One of the most common skin conditions we have to deal with ever since our young ages is the acne. Surprisingly, it's caused by a hormone that many people don't even think it should exist in the body of a female. Yes, you guessed right, it's testosterone a male hormone that, however, is a major hormone also produced by female reproductive organs. When its levels are high as in our teenage years or fertility periods, our skin undergoes its effect and becomes affected by acne. But don't wait for it to go awat by itself as sometimes it might require the use of some beauty helping products or ,when it becomes chronic, even medical advice.

Brain Tracy’s ‘Eat that Frog’

I have just finished reading a book on the Big A's recommendation our resident jazz singer. Strange really, it is little like Bill and Ted's time management book. It does have a strange charm to it though, usually I can’t read this type of thing.

The core concept is incredible easy to grasp it uses the metaphor for work tasks as frogs, so the most painful the certain task is, the larger and warter the hopper is, the harder it would be to bring your to eat. The main concept is really easy to comprehend, if as soon as you get up is eat the largest and ugliest frog everything else that day is going to go a lot better.

The book contains 21 simple rules. All the rules reinforce the main frog eatting idea. I really enjoyed the book.

Here is some other cool stuff I found by reading other blogs. Michal has started a website for her Jewish speeddating in London have a look. A quick plug for a website I have done some work with recently court house cosmetic surgery.

And it goodbye from me and goodbye from er me.
