Shannen Doherty Sued For Taxes??

Shannen Doherty has been given a $44,000 tax lien by the State of California, according to reports. This tax bill comes days after the actress was the first to be booted off “Dancing With the Stars” on March 22nd.

Spokespeople and financial advisors for the former Beverly Hills 90210 star has stated that they have only recently become aware of the problem and that the debts will be “taken care of promptly.”

The problems keep adding up for the 38 year old actress, as only a few months ago she was sued by City National Bank for a sum of approximately $85,000. According to the bank, Doherty allegedly failed to make payments on a loan which she agreed to make principle payments on starting on the first of June of last year.

According to court documents, Doherty "made, executed and delivered to City National Bank a promissory note (a contract to provide payment) in the original sum of $90,000.00."

Two months later, Doherty was granted leeway to for her payments, and was given until the first of September to make the payments. However, the star once again failed to meet the deadline.

City National Bank is now allegedly suing the actress for breach of contract and unjust enrichment. They are demanding the total amount of the loan paid back, as well as the accumulated interest as well as court and lawyer fees.

It is unlikely that Doherty will be able to make either problem go away. The accumulated debts will surely be more than the troubled actress can handle, and it would appear that she needed her “Dancing With the Stars” paycheque more now than she ever did before.

Perhaps she can contact some of her “friends” from “90210” to help her out. This is probably unlikely, since she never has been the easiest person to get along with.
